Dalton Blake

Dalton Eugene Blake, also known as Junior Blake, of New Johnsonville, TN, passed on from this life on Monday December 10, 2018 in Waverly, TN. He was born in Eldorado, IL, September 3, 1949 to Dalton Cyrus "Nub" Blake and Myrtle Lou (Pritchett) Blake. Junior served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer in Vietnam.  Upon returning home he worked mostly in the oil fields as a roughneck.  He retired from Propper International Sales in Waverly, TN.  Junior was a devoted father and grandfather.

He is survived by his three children, Billy Gene (Brenda) Blake, Vickie Lynn (Billy) Hansbrough, and Steven Dalton Blake; eight grandchildren, Kelsea, Brittny, Charity, Hannah, Zackery, Rachel, Hunter and Bayli; nine great grandchildren along with many other friends and family that will dearly miss him.  Junior was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Cynthia Marie Blake.

Funeral services for Dalton Eugene "Junior" Blake, 69, of New Johnsonville, TN, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Kuykendall Cemetery with full military honors by the Carmi VFW and American Legion. Visitation will from 9:00 a.m until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Junior's memory to the Carmi VFW and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
