Dale Dewayne Osborne

     Dale Dewayne Osborne, 62, of Carmi, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He was born on December 12, 1959, the son of Roy Ivan and Lexie (Dixon) Osborne.  Dale delivered newspapers for The Carmi Times for 15 years, and later worked at Rent One in Carmi. He enjoyed playing the guitar and drums, being outside and working on bicycles and lawn mowers.

     Dale is survived by a sister, Loretta Castleberry of Carmi, IL; nieces and nephews including locally, Angela Castleberry, C.J. Castleberry, Brandon Castleberry, Amanda Castleberry, Daniel Castleberry, April Gibson, Gary Osborne Jr, and Mike Castleberry.  He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Bill, Gary, Larry, and Arthur Osborne and Lanita Bartley.

     A come and go celebration of life for Dale Osborne will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Burrells Woods, shelter #3, in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Dale's memory to Campbell Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.  Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is assisting the family with arrangements.
