Christopher "Krist Karloff" Adams

d. April 14, 2022

Krist Karloff, AKA “Christopher Adams” was a man of many facets, who lived with passion and an unmatched energy. Krist never wanted to blend into the crowd. He had a unique view of life and how to lead it. Every part of his life reflected this. First and foremost Krist was a family man. He loved his girls more than anything in his world. He strived to teach them the importance of strength and independence but also kindness and compassion. He taught them that quality time together with loved ones and making memories was of the utmost importance.

Art and music were always a huge part of Krist’s life. His closest and oldest friends remember him drawing doodles of them in middle school. In his late teens music moved to the forefront of his life. He learned to play bass and guitar, then he formed and played in many bands in the SoIl area. He went on to start the “Punk House” which was not only a local music venue but also a safe place to come together and share in his passion for good music and great friends. Many of the friendships formed at that time turned into lifelong bonds that will never be matched.

A few years later he began to develop an interest in tattooing. Art, that had never left his heart, found a way back into the driver's seat. He bounced around several shops, learning from many pioneers and iconic figures in the industry and developing his own unique style before setting out on his own to form Evil Genius Tattoo Club. As owner of Evil Genius, Krist discovered a new passion. He wanted to build up his community. With the help of the friends and family he had made along the way he launched “Super Awesome Fun Time” a program that provides school supplies to local kids in need. Through this program Krist and Evil Genius, over the last six years, have provided thousands of backpacks for local children.

These words are merely a summation of a life fully lived. No amount of words could or will ever fully capture the spirit of Krist Karloff, a man truly larger than life itself.
Krist was survived by his daughters, Olivia and Evelyn; Fiancée, Bailey Uselton; Mother, Debra Mitchell; Brother, Zachary Grove; Sisters; Amanda Adams, Mariah Grove. As well as countless other friends and family made along the way. He bought the ticket and truly took the ride!
