Charles Waters

Charles L. Waters 58 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Monday afternoon August 13, 2018 at Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 24, 1959 in Austin, TX, the son of Charles A. and Gyda (Eaton) Waters.

Charles was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his mother, Gyda Hinton; his daughters, Candace and Lacey Waters; five grandchildren, and his brothers, Donald and Dennis Waters. He was preceded in death by his father and his brothers, Melvin and Walter Waters.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday August 16, 2018 at Weiss Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with Rev. Leon Clark officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Owen Dunn Post #5. The Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St, is in charge of arrangements.
