Charles Ficker

Charles P. “Chuck” Ficker, 66, of Mt. Vernon, IN passed away, Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at his home. He was born September 8, 1940 in Evansville, IN, son of Joseph and Barbara (Waninger) Ficker. He was a US Navy Veteran and a former member of the Moose Lodge and Haymakers. Charles retired from GE Plastics. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Carl and James Ficker and a great granddaughter, Nicole Bradley.
He is survived by his wife, of 16 years, Irene (Clevenger) Ficker; 3 daughters, Anita Zenthoefer of Evansville, Patty Neighbors of Evansville, Donna Clevenger of Veedersburgh, IN, a step-daughter, Tammy Walker of Mt. Vernon, IN and a step-son, Eddie Nation, Jr. of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Helen Wuerth of Evansville and a brother, Robert Ficker of Evansville. 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 East Fourth Street, Mt. Vernon, IN with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Owen Dunn American Legion Post #5. Friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, December 22, at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
