Carolyn Murphy

Carolyn S. Murphy, 70, of Carmi passed away at 12:02 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2020 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi.  She was born in Carmi on January 16, 1950 the daughter of Wilbourn Douglas and Wilma Wave  (Large) Rumsey.  Carolyn married Roy Murphy and he preceded her in death.  She was a homemaker.  For the past 10 years, she has resided at Wabash Christian Village where she was active in the worship services.

Carolyn is survived by two sons, John and Joey Murphy both of Carmi; and two brothers, Terry and Donald Rumsey both of Norris City.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Private graveside services for Carolyn S. Murphy, 70, of Carmi will be held in Melrose Cemetery in Carmi.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi to assist with funeral expenses.
