Carolyn Bruce, 82, of Norris City passed away at 11:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born in Norris City on September 24, 1932, the daughter of William Norris and Mary Grace (Phillips) Bruce. Carolyn retired as President of Banterra Bank of Norris City. She was a member of the Norris City United Methodist Church.
Carolyn is survived by a sister, Betty McKenzie of Norris City; three nieces, Gae Stoops of Greenwood, IN and Barbara McKenzie and Donna McKenzie both of Norris City; and two great-nieces, Caitlin Stoops and Meredith Stoops both of Greenwood, IN. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Edward Bruce.
Funeral Services for Carolyn Bruce, 82, of Norris City will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 3, 2015 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with Rev, Gene Turner and Mike Fields officiating. Private Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Carolyn's memory to the American Heart Association and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
