Bonita Ruth Hodges, 72 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Sunday evening July 2, 2017 at the Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehabiltation Center. She was born September 20, 1944 in Eldorado, IL the daughter of Kenneth and Sara (Mulvey) Russell.
Bonita was a homemaker and loved to play Bingo.
She is survived by her daughters, Carrie (Jeremiah) Johnson and Nancy (Greg) Wiltshire; son Kenneth (Lori) McDonnough; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Hodges, a brother, Kenneth Russell and sister, Elsie Hale.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday July 6, 2017 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
