Billy E. Dodge

     Billy E. Dodge, 91, of Carmi passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Wabash Senior Living and Rehab in Carmi. He was born in Carmi on September 7, 1934 the son of Truman A. and Myrtle L (Proctor) Dodge. Billy married Barbara Ann Lee on December 22, 1956 and she survives. He retired after 35 years with Unseal in Evansville, IN. Billy was a master carpenter and raised rabbits. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran where he was an Artilleryman. Billy was a lifetime member of the NRA, American Rabbit Specialty Club, Californian Rabbit Specialty Club, Florida White Rabbit Specialty Club and New Zealand Rabbit Specialty Club.

     Billy is survived by his wife of 69 years, Barbara; sister, Donna (Billy) Ward of Carmi; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Ken Wenzel and Lisa Partain. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Nadine Duplantis and Betty Jean Dodge and a brother, Bobby L. Dodge.

     Funeral Services for Billy E. Dodge, 91, of Carmi will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, Burial will be in Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi with full military rites by the Carmi American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Billy's memory to the White County 4H Livestock Committee and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821
