Barry Lynn Stewart

   It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barry Lynn Stewart on December 16, 2025. He was comforted and surrounded by his family in the days and moments prior to departing this life. Barry was a hard-working family man who believed in loving his family, exuding loyalty, emphasizing effort and commitment, always sharing his thoughts, embracing integrity, and NEVER giving up without a fight.

   Barry was dedicated to his wife of 57 years, Jeannie; his girls Jill (Jeff) Doneghue and Stacy (Russ) Rottmann; his grandchildren, Leah (Alex) Rotello, Lilly, and Chase. He was so excited about the upcoming arrival of his great grandson, Franklin. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Sherri (Steve) Duckworth, Sheila (Dean) Hosick, Saundra (Don) Theobald, Dannie (Nora) Stewart, and Rick (Connie) Stewart; his mother-in-law, Wilma Moore and brother-in-law, Stan (Alice) Moore; sister-in-law, Judy (Tom) Rich; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, William and Martha Stewart, his father-in-law and mentor, Doug Moore.

   Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will follow at White County Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barry’s memory to White County Senior Citizens and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL 62821.
