Barbara Shields

Barbara Ann Shields, 83, of Carmi, passed away at 3:35 p.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born November 20, 1933 in Grayville, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Elva (Pribble) Eck. Barbara married Jack D. Shields and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Michael (Yvonne) Shields of Michigan, Dennis (Sherry) Shields of Bone Gap, IL, and Dale (Vivian) Shields of Florida; two sisters, Virginia Connolly and Janet (Gary) Baxley both of Carmi; two brothers, Willard Eck of Grayville and Clarence (Dorothy) Eck, Jr. of McLeansboro and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by a son, Jack Shields, a brother, Robert Eck and a sister Doris Ross.
A memorial graveside service for Barbara Ann Shields, 83, of Carmi, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 22, 2017 at Enfield Cemetery in Enfield with Braden Willis officiating. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
