Anna Lee Marvel

   Anna Lee Marvel, 93, of Crossville, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Wabash Senior Living and Rehab in Carmi. Born May 25, 1933, in Phillipstown, Illinois, she was the daughter of Lorraine Gholson and Dorothy Ellen (Pyle) Cleveland. She married Billy D. Marvel on October 2, 1987, and they shared more than 17 years together before his passing on March 24, 2005. Anna Lee attended McHenry Methodist Church and worked as a customer representative for Gulf Oil for 10 years and General Electric for 17 years. She was an avid traveler and shooter who enjoyed golf, working with her hands, staying busy, spending time outdoors, and her home on Sand Hill.

   Anna Lee is survived by her stepchildren, Leah (Ken) Harden, Sarah (Josh) Hill, Jeff (Ruthie) Marvel, Tim Marvel, Stephen (Donna) Marvel, Joe (Valerie) Marvel, Danny Marvel, and Bill Marvel; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; niece, Ellen Robb Martina; grandnephew, Matt Bleeks; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorraine and Dorothy Cleveland; husband, Billy D. Marvel; sister, Norma Robb; grandchildren, Cody and Kyle Marvel.

   A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 2:00p.m. at Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Kuykendall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anna’s memory to Carmi’s American Legion, Riley’s Children’s Hospital, or White County Animal Control and will be accepted at Kuykendall Cemetery or by mail to 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821.
