Allena Mae Tolley

      Allena Mae (Jones) Tolley, 92, of Carmi, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.  She was born on June 9, 1930, in Crossville, Illinois, the daughter of Elza and Sarah (Hansman) Jones. She married Donald Lee Tolley, and he preceded her in death.  Allena was a member of Ridge Baptist Church in Grayville, Illinois. She enjoyed going to rummage sales, doing crossword puzzles, bird watching, and most of all spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved attending their sporting events when she was able.

     Allena is survived by her children, Kregg (Tina) Tolley of Crossville, IL, and Kristi Trefftzs of Carmi, IL; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Charles Burke of Hammond, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She is precedecd in death by her husband Donald Tolley; her parents; a son, Ron Tolley, a daughter, Donna Lawrence; a grandson, Denny Trefftzs; a sister, Mary Burke and a brother, Floyde Jones.

      Funeral services for Allena Tolley, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Stendeback Funeral Home in Carmi, with burial at Stokes Chapel Cemetery in Crossville. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Stendeback Funeral Home in Carmi.
