Jeff Smith

Jeff "Smitty" Smith, 62, of Enfield, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born on December 13, 1958, the son of  Wilburn Ray "Coke" and Vera (Frymire) Smith.  Jeff proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He married Sondra McNew on February 14, 1984.  Jeff worked as a field tech for Williams Enterprises for many years.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Sondra Smith of Enfield, IL.; his children, Joshua (Amber) Smith of Imperial Beach, CA., Justin (Kinsey) Smith of Ft. Meyers, FL., and Samantha (Corey) Hazel of Eddyville, IL.; grandchildren, Conor, Riley, Brittyn, Wyatt, and Gunner; siblings, Judy Smith of Norris City, IL. and Jim Smith of Norris City, IL. his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jim (Pat) McNew of Carmi, IL., four sisters-in-law, Kay Smith of Paducah, KY.,  Cindy (Darrell) Sneed of Carmi, IL., Shellie McNew of Evansville, IN., and Rachel Anderson of Newburgh, IN.; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, John and Jo Ellen Smith; and a brother-in-law, Doug McNew.

A private celebration of life for Jeff "Smitty" Smith  will be held at a later date. Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield is in charge of arrangements.
